Ronin Warriors and Sailor Moon: Started It All

Well for many of you when I was growing up cartoon network had an afternoon tv show called toonami and from like 4pm to 6pm they would play anime shows .When i first started watching toonami the first few shows i came into contact for me was Ronin Warriors which was a late 80's anime show being played in the early 90's it was actually based off the original Japanese samurai troopers and being a young preteen to teen five hot guys in armor were hot .The show was only 30 episodes but it also had three movies to follow but what really made me a fan of anime was the girl power of sailor moon and of course you couldn't deny a forbidden love story that went one for a thousand years and the lovers find each other in the 21st century. I hate to say this but Sailor Moon for me was not only to believe in the power of love but also it really was a love conquers all between Usagi and Mamoru or Serena and Darien in English .This couple was the ultimate prince and princess from going to forbidden lovers , to fighting allies , to lovers again ,to Darien loosing his memory and regaining it again , not to mention going into the future and finding out the little girl you have been protecting in your time is your future daughter , to all the ups and downs of a relationship. Sailor Moon is not only an anime show but it also became live action which closely followed the manga as it could but it has three movies and 6 season from the original to stars. Yes in away these two shows and all the others after that followed on toonami was the start of being a fan of anime which also lead into my writing stories so you could say it all started with Ronin Warriors and Sailor Moon

I remember toonami! I remember when I was in second and third grade, so 10-11 years ago, I would always look forward to watching Sailor Moon. I'll admit I'm not a fan now, but I used to be back then, that was like one of my favorite things! I still have my old Sailor Moon thermos, lunchbox, my vhs of the two episodes where Serena discovers her real mother and when she fights Queen Barrel, and dolls of Sailor Moon, Serena, Mini Moon, and Tuxedo Mask. In fact I actually got rid of his mask and made him a full-face black mask and turned him into the Phantom of the Opera. I still remember I used to have smaller dolls of the original 5, and I was so pissed when they got lost. But yeah, Sailor Moon and Mini Moon were my favorites, probably because they both reminded me of myself. I even dressed up as Mini Moon one day, putting my hair in pigtails, wearing a pink dress, pink bunny ears, a chocker and gloves and going around with my Sailor Moon wand, one of the things I still have today. Oh the memories. I stopped watching it when it stopped playing in the US, not to mention that at that point the story was becoming too complicated for me to follow, not to mention that this was right around the time that I was growing out of my anime phase. Also I don't necessarily remember the romance between Serena and Damian being forbidden.

Oh wow I've seen all the seasons except stars read all the manga watched all the movies and yes I know their love wasn't forbidden it just seemed liked it when they portrayed it in a couple episodes in the first season and also during highschool no joke my friend s and i had nicknames for each other during the school week and I was Ami Sailor Mercury one day Lita Sailor Jupiter another day .Come to think of it I was more like them then during highschool and now in college I feel like im Sailor mercury all over again cause all i ever do now is study till my brain hurts but I dont get straight A's. My first fan fiction that I wrote in high school was about the Ronin warriors and their story line simple to follow that show had only one season but three movies and the sad thing is i've been editing and reediting the main character and the story for that one fanfiction. I had a little fantasy crush on Rowen form Ronin Warriors Darien from Sailor Moon and Gohan from the Dragonball Z to GT series.

Yay! A fellow SM fan! Oh Toonami! That brings me back! I remember when DBZ used to come on right after Sailor Moon and it would come on right after my cousins and I would get off school, my cousins would always take the remote and change it away from SM but when DBZ came out everyone had to be quiet for them to watch it. I was so mad at them for not letting me watch it! Dx I had everything SM back when I was younger. I had bed sheets and blanket, a clock, dolls, lunch box, book bag. I lost my little dolls I had. I remember I found my Minako (Sailor Venus) dolls like a while ago and I was so excited! I have seen all the season (Even Stars) I own the three movies on VHS and DVD. I even have some of VHS's of the show. My favorite characters were ChibiUSA (Sailor Mini Moon) and Haruka (Sailor Uranus) I have even roleplayed ChibiUSA for a long time back on myspace until recently when I took my hiatus on Rping. I have to say though Stars was okay, it was different, and alittle confusing. They would surely have to change it around if 4kids dubbed it or some child dubbing company. (Like they changed characters in the dubbed version. Ex in the japanese version a Villain named FishEye (Who I love and have also Role played.) was originally a boy that was very girly. In the English dubbed version they made him a girl. They also did that with Zoysite (Not sure if I spelled his name right) In the Original Japanese he was a boy that was very girl like and was inlove with another man (Malakite) but when America got a hold of it they changed him into a woman.) Well the reason I bring it up is cause three new scouts that come to Earth Aka the Star scouts. Are women that change themself into men to be undercover and find there princess. So I am sure that America would do alot of changing that around.
